Aloha! My name is Megan. I grew up in Hilo, Hawaii where I still live. After graduating High School I attended the Maine Maritime Academy and began my career at sea in 2005. I've been on the water in some way shape or form every since. I'm currently sailing as CM on ocean going tugs - and really, really enjoying myself :)
Why am I doing this?

I believe in community and, I like to have fun! Have you ever just wanted to 'talk out a problem' you were having in the industry and drawn a blank with who to call? I have. Have you ever just felt curious about other ladies in the industry? I have! I'd like to chat out challenges I'm facing. I'd like to have fun with like minded women. I'd like to build a community!
There will never be a 'good time' to host a meetup. There will never be a way to host a meetup without kinks that need to get worked out and improvements for the next one however; there is never a better time to start than now. Sometimes you just have to make shit happen!
